After receiving excellent reviews from the likes of Pitchfork, The FADER & LA Weekly, Vandetta revisits her self-titled debut EP and curates a remix release that features contributions from producers/musicians from various corners of the globe.
Vandetta Remixes boasts 9 tracks that flip and twist her signature soulful and dusky sounds into a wide range of aural plethora. A handful of dancefloor selection is inevitably in the mix and is led by an anthemic version of “Fly” reworked by up and coming Singaporean DJ/producer, Perk Pietrek. Touches of cinematic soundscapes can be found in the reinterpretations by LA-based producer, Seven Saturdays, and multi-instrumentalist New Zealander, Isaac Aesili.
The ultimate flip has got to go to Sauce81 from Japan who has almost impossibly transformed “Walls” into a Motown number.
